Stae

Terms of service

Last updated: 13 September 2026

These terms cover your use of the Stae app and stae.io. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not, please don't use Stae.

What Stae is — and isn't

Stae is a discovery service. We show you resorts and homestays in Kerala and give you a way to contact the people who run them. We are not a travel agent, a tour operator, or a booking platform. We take no reservations, hold no inventory, process no payments, and are not a party to whatever you and a property agree between yourselves.

Listings and accuracy

Listing details — prices, amenities, photographs, availability — come from the property owners or from our own field research. We check what we reasonably can, but we cannot guarantee that every detail is current or correct. Prices shown are indicative starting rates, not quotes or offers. Confirm everything that matters directly with the property before you travel or pay.

Your dealings with properties

Any agreement you reach with a property is between you and them. That includes payment, cancellation, refunds, the condition of the stay, and anything that goes wrong. Stae is not responsible for and does not underwrite those dealings. We do want to hear when a property behaves badly — tell us at hello@stae.io and we will look into removing the listing.

If you list a property

Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Give us an email address you actually control. One account per person.

Acceptable use

We may suspend or close an account that does any of this.

Content and ownership

The app, its design and its catalogue are ours or our licensors'. Property photographs remain the property of whoever owns them. You may use Stae to plan your own travel; you may not republish our catalogue.

Availability

We aim to keep Stae running, but it is provided as-is. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it. To the extent the law allows, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Stae, and nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time — Profile → Delete account in the app, or the account page in the owner portal. We may close an account that breaches these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Kerala have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top tells you when they last changed; continuing to use Stae after a change means you accept it.
